Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation hosted a Women in Business Seminar, together holding the Women in Business Awards, and awarding well-deserving female entrepreneurs with financial capital funded through the Hollywood Bets Foundations. If anything, the event was a showstopper!!
Right from the walkway, we’re met with a summery atmosphere of ushers cooling us with mimosas. Couches and chairs welcomed us to comfort, accompanied by finger snacks and pops of bright purple flowers gave us the pleasure to feel like this was a holiday entrepreneur event away from the buzzing city of Johannesburg. Except, it wasn’t. Women of all walks of business mingled with glasses of Tanqueray cocktails, with laughter, content galore, and what more was seeing old faces from the 2021 Women in Business Seminar. What a delight.
The theme for this year's seminar was 'Empowering Her. We were thrilled yet again to attend such a groundbreaking event focused on the support of women in business. We walked away with insights and strategies shared by the speakers and panellists. From practical tips for starting and scaling a business to stories from successful female entrepreneurs who navigated the terrains of defying the odds.
